Moving from another tool
HoneyBook, Dubsado, 17hats, Jobber, Bloomerang, Little Green Light, or a spreadsheet tool.
Export, import, and run both for two weeks. Nothing about how you work has to change on day one.
- Export. Look under Settings or Account in the old tool for Export or Download data, and choose CSV. Contacts first; projects, invoices and anything else second.
- Import into Customers (see Bring in what you have). Other kinds of records go into the matching list.
- Invoices already sent from the old tool stay there until they are paid. Do not re-send them. Send the next ones from Tri-Gig.
- Keep the old tool running for two weeks alongside. When you stop opening it, cancel it.
- Your customers do not need to do anything. The first thing they notice is a Tri-Gig invoice link or a booking page, which work with no account.
Tip:If you later cancel Tri-Gig instead, export everything under Workspace settings, Export. Nothing is deleted when a subscription ends.
